Camilla Schwarz creates abstract landscapes that investigate the space on a physical and psychological level. Working primarily in oil on canvas, she translates observations of open landscapes into layered paintings that balance structure and spontaneity.

Drawing from the landscape tradition while pushing beyond direct representation, Schwarz explores themes of expansiveness, perception, and interconnectedness. Through shifting color, gesture, and atmosphere, her paintings invite viewers into environments where boundaries dissolve and the experience of landscape becomes both sensory and contemplative.

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Schwarz studied painting in college and continued her education with Lee Boynton, Mary Arthur, and Ken Cosgrove. She attended the Hoffberger School of Painting from 2024–2025.
